If you are looking for fabric and simple custom seamstress
work, this is the place to go. Covering a very large couple
of city blocks, it is a maze of small shops selling
everything from denim to cotton to silk by the square meter.
I bought some very beautiful silk fabric and embroidered
panels for about 35 yuan per square meter (about 4 - 5
dollars a square yard - try finding that in America!) There
are whole groups of seamstresses that will sew the fabric
for you for a very cheap price - I had a silk comforter
cover with a nice embroidered silk panel for a King size
comforter made for less than 400 yuan (about 60 dollars US)
- including the seamstresses' fee!
