![]() Bar Rouge review
Address By far one of the hottest bars in Shanghai, this is where the cool crowd gather to shake their wallets to the up-tempo lounge music. Typically "hip", even the bartenders have a who-do-you-think-you-are attitude. The inspiring view of Pudong is matched by the view of the fashionably-dressed revelers. Description: Since the opening in 2004 Bar Rouge has been one of the most popular nightlife spot in Shanghai. With a striking view at Pudong from the huge terrace, Bar Rouge will certainly stay on top for a long time. Last summer they turned it into a tropical beach hang-out, giving Bar Rouge a surreal “look and feel” but surprisingly well done. On Friday and Saturday, visitors have to pay an entrance fee to join the party crowd. Once you are in you can hang out on the comfortable sofa’s (costs a bottle of liquor) or just enjoy yourself around the bar or at the terrace. Occasionally, the bartenders perform a show by juggling around bottles and glasses. Also lightening up the counter makes a visit to Bar Rouge worthwhile. The opinion about Bar rouge is very mixed in Shanghai, a lot of people think it is overdone and too expensive. But in a vibrant city like Shanghai, we couldn’t imagine missing a place like Bar Rouge!

Reviews / Bar Rouge
Bar rouge can compete with any other club in the world.
for me it's the best place in Shanghai, a bit expensive
compared with other bars but hey: the atmosphere's just the
best.
Lots of love from Sweden

Went to Shanghai in November for work and had been there before but never took the time to get to know the city. Besides, Shanghai is changing so fast that you'll think every time, that you are in a new city.
In the plane i had enough time to play and check the XS2China application.Last time in China i was walking constantly with loads of cards with Chinese adresses in order to find the right adress, and you spend quite a significant amount of time to resolve communicationproblems
It seemed that my Chinese collegues thought it was normal to hear a Chinese speaking mobile phone but we had an excellent laugh about the phrase: i have to vomit, and i am a miljonair, do you want to drive along in my Ferrari. Every business diner, this was a succes,
Besides, at night, xs2China was very handy to pick one out of 1000 bars, restaurants or clubs in Shanghai. To pick a regular night: Start diner @ Jean Georges in 3 on the Bund, after that, have a good glass Champagne in Claud nine (upstairs in Grand Hyatt) and after that finish with a good party in Bar Rouge: It's not so bad no is it?!
