With no eye catching front or impressive décor, Tongji is a small and basic restaurant found in the western old downtown. However, with chicken porridge, only for 5 yuan a bowl, and freshly-cut Chicken, only 10 yuan a portion (33 yuan per 500 grams), there are the trademark recommendations here.
Two kinds of seasoning are provided for each portion of Freshly-cut Chicken -- one is a home-made sauce with shallots and ginger, the other is a yellow mustard sauce made with chicken stock offering both fresh and rich flavors.
